Club de Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata
Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata is the oldest football club in Argentina.
Founded on June 3rd, 1887 as Club de Gimnasia y Esgrima, began its sports activities with the two modalities that make up its name, later adding other sports such as archery, athletics and cricket. Its main activity, however, is football and the club remains in the Argentine first division league for 69 seasons now.
